S+U Needle

Good strong needles that are so far lasting a lot longer than the previous ones I used. They don't bend!

Very nice needles. Holding up well so far.
For reference, they are slightly smaller than John James 004, so are good for finer work.

The size and feel is great for the first couple of items, but then the plating on the needles starts to flake off. This in turn means that they grip inside the hole and just makes everything nasty. The picture shows two where the plating has started to wear off.

Really wouldn’t recommend these…

I don’t recommend these, I have a 5mm Crimson irons and they are not a fit, consider going a size smaller. I’m always fighting to pass through the hole especially on the back stitching, they are just too chunky
