The Ketch Passport Holder

The Ketch Passport Holder pattern is a PDF leather crafting pattern to create a travel wallet that provides a traditional functionality for such a type of leather product with a slot for the passport, few card pockets and a pocket for cash & receipts. Crafting-wise it employs the so-called "floating" card pocket technique for the left side of the interior that keeps the edges profile down to two layers of leather... besides looking cool! The 3mm full trim allowance will get you a flush cut, much cleaner and easier to finish edges. :) A modern passport holder that allows for creative and fun leather combinations that your customers will love as much as you do crafting.

THE KETCH PASSPORT HOLDER

=====

Dimensions: 14.4/10cm (~5.7/4 inches)

Capacity: 2 card pockets for up to 4 cards, cash/receipts compartment, pocket for a standard size passport (B7 - 88/125mm) and an optional ID card pocket

Skill level: Intermediate

Leather:

> 1.0-1.4mm thickness (2.5-3.5 oz) for the interior parts. When using 1.2-1.4mm leather some skiving will be required for the Card Pockets Back piece to reduce the bulk.

> 1.4-1.8mm thickness (3.5-4.5oz) for the exterior.

Basic Instructions

> Measure and cut on the outside edge of the lines.

> Print the pattern at 100% scale and verify size using the Print Accuracy Test.

> Stitching holes in the patterns are 4mm from the edge (unless stated otherwise on the pattern pieces) and spaced at 4mm.

> Review the assembly instructions PDF prior to starting with the build.

> The dark grey outlines are for 3mm full trim allowance. If you won’t use trim allowance, cut the patterns along the black lines.
